The Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum (the Forum) joins other civil society organizations and all relevant stakeholders in congratulating Dr Amy Tsanga and Mrs Priscilla Chigumba, the overall winners of the 2009 Women’s Rights Defenders Award as well as the runners up, Honourable Tendai Biti and Ms Sarudzayi Njerere. The award is bestowed on individual lawyers who have excelled in their fight for the advancement of women’s rights. The Forum feels honoured to be associated with Zimbabwe Women Lawyers Association (ZWLA), the organisers of this award and congratulates them for holding yet another successful edition.
The Forum commends ZWLA for the outstanding work that they have done in advocating for the rights of women.
